Woven into the back of his jacket is the shape of a bat, the more ancient Guatemalan god of wisdom. The Guatemalans, like the Chinese, regarded the bat as the embodiment of wisdom since he could fly into the earth and soar above it and was, therefore, able to comprehend multiple levels of existence.
